These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of selfworthcentral.com (the “Website”) and, where applicable, your purchase or use of products and services provided by Self-Worth Central.
Please read these Terms carefully before using the Website, purchasing a digital product, booking coaching, or otherwise using our services.
By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms to the extent applicable to your use.
If you purchase a product or service, additional terms presented during the booking or checkout process may also apply.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

For the purposes of these Terms, “Self-Worth Central”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the Website operator identified above.
2. Other Policies That Apply
These Terms should be read together with our:
- Privacy Policy
- Cookie Policy
- Coaching & Educational Disclaimer
- Refund & Cancellation Policy
- any coaching agreement or booking terms provided before you purchase coaching; and
- any product-specific terms displayed before you purchase a digital product.
Where there is a conflict between these general Terms and specific terms expressly agreed for a particular product or service, the specific terms will normally apply to that product or service.
3. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract in your jurisdiction to purchase products or services from Self-Worth Central.
Our coaching services are intended for people aged 18 or over.
If you are under 18, you must not purchase or participate in coaching unless Self-Worth Central has expressly stated that a particular service is available to minors and any legally required parental or guardian consent has been obtained.
4. Website Content
The Website contains articles, guides, graphics, illustrations, infographics, worksheets, videos, downloadable resources and other materials relating to relationships, attachment, self-worth, breakup recovery and emotional wellbeing.
This content is provided primarily for general educational and informational purposes.
It does not constitute psychotherapy, counselling, psychiatric treatment, medical advice, legal advice or another regulated professional service.
Please read our Coaching & Educational Disclaimer for further information.
5. No Diagnosis or Individual Assessment
Content discussing attachment styles, relationship behaviours or psychological concepts is not intended to diagnose you or another person.
Terms such as:
- dismissive avoidant;
- fearful avoidant;
- anxious attachment;
- deactivation;
- trauma bond;
- intermittent reinforcement;
- breadcrumbing; and
- other relationship or psychological terminology
may be used to explain patterns and concepts.
The presence of certain behaviours does not establish that a specific individual has a particular attachment style, diagnosis, motive or psychological condition.
You should not rely on general Website content as an individual psychological assessment.
6. Coaching Services
Self-Worth Central may offer individual coaching, coaching packages, workshops or other personal-development services.
Coaching is intended to support reflection, education, personal development and goal-setting.
Coaching is not psychotherapy, counselling, medical treatment or mental-health treatment.
By purchasing coaching, you acknowledge that:
- coaching does not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions;
- coaching cannot guarantee a particular emotional, personal or relationship outcome;
- you remain responsible for your own decisions and actions;
- another person's behaviour cannot be controlled or guaranteed through coaching; and
- coaching may not be appropriate for every person's circumstances.
If your needs fall outside the reasonable scope of coaching, Self-Worth Central may recommend that you seek support from an appropriately qualified professional.
Further details may be provided in a separate coaching agreement or during the booking process.
7. Booking Coaching
Coaching sessions may be booked through:
Simply Schedule Appointments
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate booking information;
- selecting the correct appointment date and time;
- checking the time zone shown during booking;
- providing a valid email address;
- ensuring that you have suitable internet access where sessions are held online; and
- attending the appointment at the agreed time.
Your booking is not confirmed until you receive confirmation through the Website, booking provider or email.
We reserve the right to decline a coaching booking where reasonably necessary, including where the service is inappropriate for the prospective client's needs or falls outside our coaching scope.
Any refund due following such a decision will be handled in accordance with applicable law and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
8. Coaching Session Cancellations and Rescheduling
The cancellation and rescheduling terms applicable to coaching will be explained in our Refund & Cancellation Policy and, where applicable, during booking.
Current policy:
You may reschedule within 24 hours' notice.
Late cancellations, missed sessions and rescheduling requests may be subject to reasonable restrictions or charges as clearly disclosed before purchase.
Nothing in this section removes any cancellation or refund rights that you have under applicable consumer law.
9. Late Arrival and Missed Coaching Sessions
If you arrive late for a scheduled coaching session, the session may still need to finish at the originally scheduled ending time.
If you do not attend a session without cancelling or rescheduling in accordance with the applicable policy, the session may be treated as used, where permitted by applicable law and provided this was clearly disclosed before purchase.
If Self-Worth Central needs to cancel or reschedule a session, we will offer an appropriate alternative and, where required, a refund.
10. Coaching Packages
Where coaching is sold as a package containing multiple sessions:
- the number of sessions included will be stated before purchase;
- any validity or expiry period will be disclosed before purchase;
- restrictions on transferring sessions to another person will be disclosed;
- cancellation and refund arrangements will be explained before purchase; and
- unused sessions will be treated in accordance with the Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable consumer law.
We will not impose an undisclosed expiry date after you have purchased a coaching package.
11. Digital Products
Self-Worth Central may sell digital products including:
- ebooks;
- PDFs;
- guides;
- worksheets;
- workbooks;
- templates;
- courses;
- audio materials; and
- other downloadable or digitally delivered resources.
The product description will explain the main features of the digital content before purchase.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, purchasing a digital product grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use that product for your own personal purposes.
You do not acquire ownership of the intellectual property contained within the product.
12. Immediate Digital Delivery and Cancellation Rights
Where applicable consumer law provides a cancellation period for digital content, you may be asked at checkout to:
- expressly consent to the digital content being supplied immediately; and
- acknowledge that by beginning immediate delivery, you may lose your statutory right to cancel once supply of the digital content begins.
We will not treat the purchase of digital content as automatically removing statutory cancellation rights where the legally required consent and acknowledgement have not been obtained.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Further details are provided in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
13. Problems With Digital Products
If digital content is faulty, corrupted, inaccessible, materially different from its description or otherwise does not meet legal requirements applicable to the sale, please contact:
info@selfworthcentral.com
We will investigate and provide an appropriate remedy where required by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights regarding digital content.
14. Prices
Prices for products and services will be displayed before purchase.
Prices may be shown in currencies including:
GBP / USD / Euros/ CAD/ AUD
Where currency conversion is performed by your bank, card provider, PayPal, Stripe, or another payment provider, exchange rates and additional charges may be determined by that provider.
Unless stated otherwise, the price displayed at checkout is the price applicable to your purchase.
We may change prices for future purchases at any time.
A price change will not normally affect a purchase already completed.
15. Taxes
Prices will include or exclude applicable taxes as indicated during checkout and as required by law.
Depending on your location and the type of product or service purchased, VAT, sales tax, or other taxes may apply.
Third-party payment or commerce platforms may calculate and collect applicable taxes where appropriate.
16. Payment
Payments may be processed through third-party providers such as:
Stripe or PayPal
By submitting payment information, you confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.
Self-Worth Central does not normally receive or store complete payment-card information.
Payment providers operate according to their own terms and privacy policies.
17. Failed or Reversed Payments
If a payment is declined, reversed, charged back or otherwise not successfully completed, we may suspend delivery of the applicable product or service while the issue is resolved, where lawful and reasonable.
If you believe a payment has been taken incorrectly, please contact us before initiating a chargeback where reasonably possible so that we can investigate the issue.
Nothing in this section restricts your legal rights to dispute an unauthorised or incorrect transaction.
18. Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on:
- the product or service purchased;
- whether delivery or performance has begun;
- any cancellation terms disclosed before purchase;
- your statutory consumer rights; and
- the circumstances of your request.
Full details are provided in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any refund, repair, replacement, repeat-performance, price-reduction or other remedy that applicable consumer law requires us to provide.
19. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Website and its original content are owned by or licensed to Self-Worth Central and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
This includes, where applicable:
- written articles;
- blog posts;
- guides;
- ebooks;
- PDFs;
- worksheets;
- coaching materials;
- graphics;
- infographics;
- illustrations;
- diagrams;
- downloadable resources;
- branding;
- logos;
- Website design elements;
- original photographs;
- videos;
- course materials; and
- other original content.
All rights are reserved unless expressly stated otherwise.
20. Permitted Personal Use
You may:
- read Website content for personal use;
- save links to our content;
- quote brief extracts where lawful and appropriately attributed;
- share links to publicly accessible Self-Worth Central pages; and
- use purchased digital resources for your own personal use.
You may not use our intellectual property beyond what is permitted by law or these Terms without permission.
21. Prohibited Use of Our Content
Unless you have our prior written permission, you must not:
- copy or republish substantial portions of our articles;
- reproduce an entire article on another website;
- resell our digital products;
- upload purchased products to file-sharing websites;
- give paid resources to others as substitutes for their own purchase;
- reproduce or resell our worksheets or coaching materials;
- remove copyright notices or branding;
- claim our content as your own;
- substantially reproduce our infographics for commercial use;
- create competing products primarily by copying our original materials;
- use our content in paid courses, coaching programmes or commercial products without permission; or
- otherwise exploit our intellectual property commercially without authorisation.
22. Sharing Our Articles
We welcome links to Self-Worth Central articles.
You may share:
- the article title;
- a link to the original article;
- a brief quotation or excerpt where permitted by copyright law; and
- accompanying commentary of your own.
If you wish to reproduce substantial portions of an article, infographic, worksheet, or other original material, please contact us for permission.
23. Use of Content for Artificial Intelligence and Automated Systems
Unless permitted by applicable law or expressly authorised by Self-Worth Central, you may not systematically scrape, download, or reproduce substantial amounts of original Website content for the purpose of:
- creating a commercial content database;
- republishing our material;
- developing competing commercial content;
- training or fine-tuning a commercial artificial-intelligence model; or
- circumventing technical measures designed to protect Website content.
Nothing in this clause restricts uses that cannot lawfully be prohibited, including applicable statutory exceptions.
24. User Conduct
You must not use the Website to:
- break any applicable law;
- interfere with Website security;
- introduce malware or malicious code;
- attempt unauthorised access to the Website or associated systems;
- scrape the Website in a manner that materially disrupts its operation;
- impersonate another person;
- submit fraudulent payment information;
- harass or threaten another person;
- send unlawful or abusive communications;
- infringe another person's intellectual-property or privacy rights; or
- misuse forms, comments or communication channels.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the Website, its users, Self-Worth Central or others.
25. Comments and User-Submitted Content
If the Website allows comments, testimonials, reviews, or other user-submitted material, you remain responsible for what you submit.
You must not submit content that:
- is unlawful;
- contains threats or harassment;
- infringes another person's rights;
- contains another person's private information without permission;
- is knowingly false or defamatory;
- contains spam or malicious links; or
- is otherwise inappropriate for the Website.
We may moderate, remove, or decline to publish user-submitted material where reasonably necessary.
26. Testimonials and Reviews
If you voluntarily submit a testimonial or review, we will not publish personally identifying information beyond what you have agreed may be used.
Where we request permission to publish a testimonial, the permitted form of attribution will be agreed with you.
Testimonials describe individual experiences and do not guarantee identical outcomes for other users or coaching clients.
Self-Worth Central does not knowingly publish fabricated consumer reviews or misrepresent reviews as independent experiences where they are not.
27. External Links
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, academic research, organisations, products, services or resources.
External links are provided for information or convenience.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, a link does not mean that Self-Worth Central:
- controls the third-party website;
- endorses every statement it contains;
- guarantees its accuracy;
- guarantees its availability; or
- accepts responsibility for its privacy or business practices.
Third-party services are subject to their own terms.
28. Affiliate Links and Commercial Relationships
If Self-Worth Central uses affiliate links or receives compensation in connection with a recommendation, sponsorship or commercial partnership, we will provide appropriate disclosure where required.
We will not intentionally present paid advertising or affiliate promotion as independent editorial content without appropriate disclosure.
29. Availability of the Website
We aim to keep the Website available and functioning properly, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.
The Website may occasionally be unavailable due to:
- maintenance;
- technical problems;
- hosting issues;
- security incidents;
- updates;
- events outside our reasonable control; or
- changes to the Website.
We may modify or discontinue Website features where reasonably necessary.
Nothing in this section affects obligations relating to a product or service you have already purchased.
30. Accuracy of Website Information
We aim to keep Website information accurate and useful.
However:
- research changes;
- professional guidance develops;
- external resources may change;
- older articles may become outdated; and
- occasional factual or typographical errors may occur.
We may correct or update content without notice.
For matters carrying significant medical, mental-health, legal, financial or safety consequences, you should obtain appropriate professional advice rather than relying exclusively on Website content.
31. Research and Educational Sources
Self-Worth Central may refer to academic research, psychological theories, and other sources.
Scientific research evolves, and individual studies may have limitations.
Reference to a study does not mean that its findings apply universally or prove the cause of a particular person's behaviour.
Where possible, readers are encouraged to review original sources and the broader research literature.
32. No Guaranteed Outcomes
Self-Worth Central does not guarantee any particular outcome from:
- reading Website content;
- purchasing a digital resource;
- following an exercise;
- participating in coaching;
- implementing a communication strategy;
- going no contact or low contact;
- changing personal boundaries; or
- taking another action discussed on the Website.
In particular, we do not guarantee that another person will:
- contact you;
- return to a relationship;
- change;
- apologise;
- reconcile;
- become emotionally available; or
- behave in a particular way.
33. Personal Responsibility
You remain responsible for determining whether information, resources or coaching are appropriate for your circumstances.
General educational content cannot account for every individual's:
- relationship history;
- personal safety;
- health;
- mental health;
- family circumstances;
- finances;
- legal position; or
- other individual factors.
Where appropriate, seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
34. Emergency and Crisis Situations
Self-Worth Central is not an emergency or crisis service.
Do not use the Website, email, social media accounts or coaching booking system for urgent crisis assistance.
If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services in your country.
In the United Kingdom, call 999 in an emergency.
Please see our Coaching & Educational Disclaimer for further information.
35. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or to remove statutory consumer rights.
Subject to those rights and legal limitations, Self-Worth Central will not be responsible for losses that:
- were not reasonably foreseeable when the relevant contract was entered into;
- result from circumstances outside our reasonable control;
- arise from using general educational information as a substitute for professional advice where professional advice was reasonably required; or
- arise from a user's unlawful or unauthorised use of the Website or materials.
Where you use Self-Worth Central wholly or mainly for business purposes rather than as a consumer, additional limitations may apply as permitted by law.
36. Nothing Excludes Statutory Consumer Rights
If you are purchasing as a consumer, you may have statutory rights concerning:
- services;
- digital content;
- cancellation;
- refunds;
- repeat performance;
- price reductions; and
- other remedies.
These rights vary depending on your location.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to take away rights that applicable law says cannot be excluded or restricted.
37. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform an obligation where it results from circumstances genuinely outside our reasonable control.
Examples may include:
- major internet or telecommunications failures;
- natural disasters;
- widespread power failures;
- serious illness or emergencies;
- government action;
- war or civil disruption;
- major cybersecurity incidents; or
- failure of an essential third-party platform despite reasonable precautions.
Where such an event affects a paid service, we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and provide an appropriate solution.
38. Suspension or Termination of Access
We may restrict or terminate access to the Website or a service where reasonably necessary because of:
- serious or repeated breaches of these Terms;
- abusive or threatening conduct;
- fraudulent activity;
- misuse of services;
- security concerns;
- unlawful activity; or
- circumstances making continued provision unsafe or inappropriate.
Where a paid service is affected, any entitlement to a refund will be determined fairly in accordance with the circumstances, applicable contractual terms and consumer law.
39. Ending a Coaching Relationship
Either party may decide that coaching should end.
Self-Worth Central may recommend ending coaching where:
- coaching is no longer appropriate;
- the client's needs fall outside coaching scope;
- professional boundaries cannot reasonably be maintained;
- there is abusive or threatening conduct;
- there is repeated non-payment; or
- another legitimate reason makes continuation inappropriate.
Any unused prepaid services will be handled according to the applicable cancellation terms and consumer law.
40. Changes to Products or Services
We may make reasonable changes to products or services where necessary, for example to:
- improve quality;
- correct errors;
- reflect changes in law;
- update research;
- improve security; or
- make minor technical changes.
We will not materially reduce an already purchased service without appropriate justification and, where required, an appropriate remedy.
41. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect:
- changes to our business;
- changes to products or services;
- changes to Website functionality;
- changes in applicable law;
- changes in regulatory guidance; or
- other legitimate operational reasons.
The latest version will be displayed on this page with the date it was last updated.
Changes will normally apply prospectively.
Where a material change affects an existing paid contract, we will not rely on a revised term to unfairly remove rights already agreed.
42. Transfer of Rights
You may not transfer a coaching booking, account, digital-product licence or other contractual right to another person where the product or service is stated to be personal, unless we agree otherwise.
Self-Worth Central may transfer its rights or obligations in connection with a legitimate business restructuring, sale or transfer, provided this does not unfairly reduce your rights.
43. Severability
If a court or competent authority determines that one part of these Terms is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent legally possible.
44. No Waiver
If Self-Worth Central does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not necessarily mean that the right to enforce it later has been waived.
45. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the policies and specific terms incorporated into them, form the agreement governing the relevant use or purchase.
This provision does not exclude liability for fraudulent statements or prevent you from relying on rights that cannot legally be excluded.
46. Governing Law
Self-Worth Central is based in Scotland.
These Terms and any contractual relationship with Self-Worth Central are governed by Scots law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in the country where you live.
If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction, nothing in this provision removes any mandatory rights or protections available to you under applicable law.
47. Disputes
If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to resolve the matter.
Contact:
info@selfworthcentral.com
We will aim to deal with complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.
Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from exercising legal rights or accessing a court or dispute-resolution procedure that is available under applicable law.
